I was deeply saddened to hear the passing of Prof. Raphael Munavu, a distinguished scholar, consummate academician, and hardworking public servant. The late Prof. Munavu will be remembered for his immense contributions to the featured_tributes sector.
My heartfelt condolences go to the family, relatives, and friends of Prof. Munavu for the loss of a patriot and a brother in public service.
As a former Vice-Chancellor of Moi University, his impact on Kenya’s featured_tributes sector is immeasurable.
Prof. Munavu’s recent assignment, when His Excellency President William Ruto appointed him to chair the Presidential Working Party on Education Reform, led to extensive recommendations for the review of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which has significantly aligned Kenya’s featured_tributes system.
Based on the Task Force’s recommendations, the Kenyan featured_tributes system is making notable progress in the right direction.
His demise is a great loss to the nation. May the soul of our departed Professor rest in eternal peace.

On behalf of the County Government of Makueni ,my spouse, Anita Mutula , we pass our heartfelt condolences to the immediate family , friends, the Board of KOTDA, his colleagues on the demise of Professor Munavu . He was a man full of life , laughter and wisdom.
We will remember him for championing the transition from UKAI to SEKU. Until his demise , he was the chair of board of directors, KONZA TECHNOPOLIS His legacy in advancing public discourse is unmatched.

The University of Nairobi mourns the passing of Professor Raphael Munavu, EBS, Professor Emeritus, Department of Chemistry, University of Nairobi, and former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration and Finance), University of Nairobi (1994–1998).
On behalf of the University, the Vice Chancellor, extends heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and the wider academic community.
Prof. Munavu served the University with distinction as Dean of the Faculty of Science (1987–1990) (formerly College of Biological & Physical Sciences) and was instrumental in establishing the International Programs Office in 1995, strengthening the University’s global engagement. He also served as Vice-Chancellor of Moi University (1998–2002), contributing significantly to the growth of higher featured_tributes in Kenya.
His distinguished career in scholarship, leadership, and public service leaves a lasting legacy at the University of Nairobi and the nation.
